Description
The Innovation and Technology Manager is responsible for the researching, presenting and implementing existing and potential technology related products and services. Knightvest seeks to enhance the resident experience where technology can be deployed and do so with an emphasis on cost effectiveness, reliability and trouble-free implementation. This position will be a key liaison between the technology implementation and various stakeholders within the company – notably the Leadership Team, Operations, Asset Management, and the Design/Construction Team.
The Innovation and Technology Manager will be entrusted to continuously research and identify services or products that can enhance the resident experience and deliver positive financial impacts to the properties. In addition, this position will be responsible for continuing the company initiatives with regard to property wide bulk internet, managed Wi-Fi and smart home technology. Working closely with counsel, this person will select and implement these programs with oversight from Asset Management. Considerable amount of time will be spent on contract review and researching opportunities for additional technology initiatives.
This position will report to the Director of Operations Support.
This position will be responsible for directing the performance of a variety of related projects and implementing project management principles to ensure that high quality technology related products and services are delivered and implemented according to the agreed schedule and budget.
- Oversees the project management process from start to finish.
- Makes selections and recommendations on properties to implement various technology initiatives. Note this is in working closely with the Design/Construction team who are the ultimate decision maker in this regard.
- Physical site visits including travel a requirement
- Oversees the installation and implementation of new technology with client systems
- Ensures that relevant and accurate data is continuously collected
Requirements
- Ability to complete thorough financial and contractual (but not legal) analysis of provider proposals.
- Strong figure it out factor (autonomous and curious mind)
- Highly motivated, self-starter, a skillful communicator, and comfortable working without close supervision.
- Highly proficient with Excel
- Experience with contract negotiation.
Responsibilities
- Works with telecommunications vendors and management to streamline processes and consolidate vendors and billing services.
- Monitors and updates centralized database of technology assets and services for all properties.
- Stays abreast of current & developing telecommunications technology.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
