AutoCAD Project Manager (Telecom)

Summary:

The AutoCAD Project Manager will be responsible for supporting and executing the assigned project on the Architecture and Engineering team with main management for acquisition, zoning and permitting for a large-scale wireless project. All candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience to be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Reviews soft/hard audits, develops Site Development Plan and Budget
• Regularly interacting Client to obtain approval to proceed
• Regularly interacting with RF engineers on network design
• Manages Specialists and Project Coordinators for performance of all leasing related deliverables to meet market objectives and timelines.
• Manages Site Acquisition Vendors when necessary, for special cases requiring local leasing support
• Regularly evaluates staff workload and coordinates with Lead PM/Director for adjustments to Specialist’s support staff
• Executes Project Plan – Regularly monitors and measures quality of staff performance, ensures projected dates are met and forecasts are up to date, timely receipt of deliverables, and overall Client satisfaction in accordance with the Project Plan and Schedule
• Oversees document control and ensures compliance with customer requirements. Making sure all documents are provided to correct team members and uploaded to proper drives.
• Executes Quality Plan – ensures accuracy of information, documents, deliverables, and forecasts provided to Client
• Uses Problem Solving skills to resolve complex leasing issues
• Regularly interact with the customer providing status updates
• Willingness to complete the tasks associated with this role along with accommodating to the rest of the team and lending a hand when time is allotted.
• Regularly interacting with all jurisdictions that apply to project and providing the requirements they request
• Having working knowledge of jurisdictional requirements for City of San Diego and surrounding counties and how to acquire and execute them
• Coordinate site walks, design walks, and other field related visits with Construction PM, RF Engineering, Zoning and A&E Departments.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2 or more years of telecom experience including site acquisition, construction, integration, optimization process knowledge
• Proficient user of AutoCAD
• Highly developed knowledge of project management skills, with understanding of scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, resource, and deliverable management
• Ability to manage multiple project types simultaneously
• PMP certified or actively pursuing certification, must obtain within 12 months
• Effective communicator, written and oral with ability to present to management
• Previous experience in a matrix organization
• Developed Financial knowledge, ability to define/track project/program financials, such as Budget, Margin, Invoicing, Revenue recognition
• Process and detail Oriented
• Strong computer skills, MS Office – Word, Excel, Power Point, Projects.
