Summary of key responsibilities/deliverables

  • Delivering an excellent Fibre to the home (FTTH) experience to our customers with the installation methods agreed prior to works commencing and is fully active and self-certifying your own work before signing off as complete.
  • Installation & servicing of our fibre network infrastructure equipment, including working overhead and underground PIA networks, signal testing using testers provided on our internal and external equipment,
  • “Home Safe” – Ensuring Health & Safety is a priority when working onsite, taking into consideration your own safety, members of the public and our customers.
  • The ability to carryout onsite surveys for new customers & locations along with preparing a detailed survey report, identifying and suggesting ways we can improve the network and our procedures.
  • Team working is an important part of working as a Hyperoptic engineer and you will need to build good working relationships across the business
  • Maintain company vehicle & tooling for the job provided and ensure they are kept organised and stored safely.

What will you be doing?

  • “Right on The Day” is key to our customer’s journey, ensuring we install our product discreetly, the Hyperoptic way and their service is fully working before leaving.
  • The ability to identify a problem and solve is crucial when attending any service-related work, it’s imperative we fix our customers “Right First Time” to ensure service is resumed with minimal delay.
  • Delivering an excellent customer experience for the customer is paramount and is measured by our internal CSAT survey following an engineer visit along with Trust Pilot Reviews
  • Quality & Safety underpins everything we do at Hyperoptic whereby your FTM’s will support you through several post audits and live observations whilst working, offering coaching & mentoring which will then feed into your Engineering Pathway as you continue your career journey with Hyperoptic.
  • The mission: You will install our outstanding superfast full fibre broadband into the homes of our customers. Utilising Hyperoptic equipment you will ensure that the customer experience during installation is of the highest standard and excellent in every way ensuring that customers can connect as soon as they can so that they can utilise our excellent service
  • Excellent Customer Experience: You will ensure that every installation milestone is excellent. You will be professional, courteous and will leave customers properties clean and tidy with a superfast service, which they will recommend to others.
  • Continuous Improvements: You will review your performance regularly to understand how you can make improvements in your customer service delivery. Adhering to business processes is key as well as identifying improvements so the customer experience can be constantly improved.

What are we looking for?

  • Holds full UK Driving Licence
  • Good written and numerical skills
  • Customer service experience in a service environment
  • Working at Height including ladder, pole and tower climbing
  • Experience in Telecommunications business
  • Experience in the use of hand tools and power tools
  • Highly organised and able to work on multiple projects, installations, and repairs without a detrimental impact on service quality
  • Tenacious and determined to deliver results
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to clearly direct others and influence change.
