JOB DESCRIPTION
An employer of Insight Global’s in the telecom industry is looking for an OSP engineer to sit on site in their Greensboro/ High Point Location. The OSP engineer will rotate weekly supporting business orders, residential orders, and neighborhood / relocation projects. This person will be responsible for estimating costs, drafting work orders, designing paths for fiber networks, creating network solutions, and meeting with developers. 30% of this job requires analyzing, planning, and designing, while the other consists of engineering. Additionally, this person will be responsible for traveling up to 45 minutes when necessary. Mileage reimbursement is provided, as well as access to company vehicles.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of exp in OSP from a construction, splicing, or engineering (prefer engineering)
- Experience within the telecom industry
- Experience with fiber to home engineering
- GIS Experience
DESIRED SKILLS
- Bachelors / Associates Degree
- Experience with copper
- Experience with permitting
- Working knowledge of property easements
