Job Description

As a Consultant – Supply Chain Solutions you will support WESCO’s Services Solutions growth strategy by directly engaging with sales teams on opportunities involving current Services as well as “to be defined” Services offerings. You will collaborate with sales leadership teams to ensure opportunity specific strategies are supported within the various Supply Chain teams. In addition, you will pre-award development support including direct customer engagements, supply chain assessments, supporting documentation related to Service offerings and coordination through the various functional teams to ensure successful post award implementation and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and research activities to build on WESCO’s Services offerings, identify potential new offerings and business opportunities in coordination with Sales leadership teams and other functional groups.
  • Increase market share and strengthen our competitive position within industries related to WESCO’s Service offerings.
  • Proactively drive and maintain, in partnership with the sales team, a Services pipeline.
  • Find, calculate, and document cost savings related to our customer’s direct & indirect spend and value add services programs.
  • In coordination with sales teams, create and implement account business development activities including Services product gap identification, account discovery process, and complete organization engagement.
  • Establishes annual goals and priorities for achievement of Services revenue results created by Sales leadership.
  • Accountable for the Services revenue target performance and profitability results.
  • Assist the Program Development Management (PDM) organization in the development of accurate and deliverable Scopes of Work based upon contractual obligations.
  • In coordination with the PDM team, produce, review and submit required documentation in support of customer opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience in supply chain consulting and / or solution selling.
  • Experience in business to business sales.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong business analysis, financial modeling and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of Structured Cabling Industry including suppliers, customers, and competitors.
  • Ability to initiate and develop relationships with key decision makers inside and outside company
  • Ability to spot new business opportunities and quickly evaluate opportunities.
  • Ability to analyze financial and operational data, statements and projections.
  • Ability to identify and cultivate external resources.
  • Ability to establish relationships of trust.
  • Ability to solve difficult, technical, or complex problems; analyzes and investigates complex problems and devises solutions.
  • Ability to adapt plans and priorities to address resources and operational challenges within a fast-paced environment.

Travel: 25-50%
