Network Engineer III – Information Technology

The Network Engineer III’s responsibilities include provisioning, administration, maintenance, and monitoring of enterprise level IT network and security infrastructure. This position collaborates with the Chief Network Engineer, outside consultants and hardware/software manufacturers in activities related to enterprise level IT network and security infrastructure design, deployment, maintenance, upgrade, and monitoring activities. This position participates as a team member of the IT Telecom, IT Infrastructure, IT Desktop and the City Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT).


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in computer information systems, computer science, general engineering or equivalent field desired. Equivalent experience and education may be substituted for degree.
  • Three to five years of network administration/engineering experience managing network operating systems and infrastructure, virtualized environments, Active Directory, and Tier III support
  • Must possess and maintain a valid KS driver’s license and city-insurable driving record.
  • Background check required.
Entry rate of pay: Up to $85,000 DOQ.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position that is exempt from overtime.
