PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs AVAYA SME tasks to include Installation, Configure Aura Core equipment, SM, SMGR, SBC as well as Equinox and Meeting Exchange Conferencing
  • Applies basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Leads and performs escalation procedures
  • Properly assigns teams tasks while prioritizing using impact and urgency and product categorization
  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
    Leads special projects as required

Position Requirements:

  • Ability to maintain customer focus during difficult circumstances (Provides a high level of professionalism and customer service in all dealings with customers)
  • Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to support critical outage event and act as a key POC to resolve issues quickly
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in PBX/Telephony, video and network systems troubleshooting and support
  • Experience working with multi-tiered ticket handling/resolution systems
  • Ability to monitor, maintain and administer the health of the local/core telephony/video infrastructure
  • Ability to maintain and administer network infrastructure standards, documentation, and fault tolerance
  • Proficient in administering Avaya systems
  • Document logical and physical network design changes
  • Follow ITIL-based process and procedures and escalate for technical assistance
  • Advise and make recommendations to management concerning infrastructure and related LAN issues
  • Validate and coordinate all scheduled maintenance
  • Understand client’s operational and sustainment methodologies and processes
  • Gain familiarity with the client’s current voice enterprise infrastructure
  • Experience using computer management tools to provide customer system support
  • Experience with performing customer presentations (Monitoring/Test Results and Reports)
  • Experience performing support Voice Enterprise Services integration testing as required
  • Experience supporting and Testing of SIP / VoIP Technology
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL trouble shooting / installation, patching and scripting
  • Experience with Windows Server / Linux / Unix, install, patch, troubleshoot
  • Experience with AWS and VMWare


Qualifications:

  • 13 years minimum directly related to AVAYA systems, with unified communications / telecommunications experience
  • Must be able to proficiently read, write and speak English
  • Ability to obtain/retain an FAA-issued PIV badge/position of public trust. (Mandatory)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
  • Avaya Aura Communication Manager implementations, maintenance, and administration Certifications / Training
  • Avaya ACIS-level certifications in Aura Communication Manager and CM Messaging Embedded (R6.X. R8.X), Contact Center, and/or Conferencing
  • Avaya ACSS-level certifications in Aura Communication Manager and CM Messaging Embedded, Conferencing, Session/System Manager, Call Center Elite, Contact Center, and/or Experience Portal with Proactive Outreach Monitor.
  • Prior experience as an Avaya Tier II helpdesk engineer.
  • Avaya Routing experience

The likely salary range for this position is $76,000 – $114,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
