Position: Sr Network Engineer

Location: 100% Remote (must support EST or PST)

Duration: 18 months Contract-to-Hire

Pay: $55-70/hr

Description

In this position, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers experiencing ISE/VPN issues. You will work as a go-between between the customer and various internal teams and business units. By the time the issue is escalated to you, the customer is experiencing multiple issues with their deployment and is very frustrated with the product at this time. The need for a Sr Network Engineer is acute in order to ensure that the customer is able to deploy and manage their network in the manner proscribed by them and Federal regulations.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Network Problem Resolution
  • Escalation support and troubleshooting for critical network outages severity 1 2 issues and complex network issues
  • Relaying detailed knowledge of customer network critical sites and operational procedures to our client’s support team
• Root Cause Analysis at the Network Level
  • A recommendation report that includes root cause next steps and recommendations for corrective actions in a response to a network incident
• Training
  • Assist with identifying areas where training is needed
• Quarterly Business Review
  • A report on deliverables and activities provided during the immediate past timeframe corrective action plans other actions planned for the next quarter
  • Informal knowledge transfer sessions to augment troubleshooting skills by providing product training best practices review

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of hands of experience working with ASA VPN ISE Firepower Site to site IPsec VPN
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Desired Skills/Qualifications/System Experience requirements

• Preference for Cisco Certification: CCNP Security CCIE Preferred
• Experience with scripting languages Python bash etc
• Familiarity with troubleshooting/understanding LAN/WAN environments Active Directory DNS
