JOB DESCRIPTION
One of our telecommunication clients is looking for a Project Manager to join their team to support their engineering and technical operations organization and specifially their Distributed Infrastructure team. This team is responsible for power wiring, installation of racks and installation of fiber trays in the data centers.
Responsibilities include:
1. Tracking project milestones based on the team’s timing of task deliveries
2. Provide project owner forecasted delivery date of the teams work.
3. Communicating with the team (daily/weekly) to understand delays in project
4. Working to make sure projects are quoted and PO’s are created in a timely manner
5. Participation in project calls and updating internal project tracking tool
6. Pulling monthly reports to show the team is meeting its SLAs (service license agreement) in a timely manner.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of Project Management experience
- Strong client facing skills especially in their ability to provide excellent written and verbal communication
- Experience managing projects in the telecommunications industry
- Extremely detail oriented and ability to stay organized
- Experience working in Excel
DESIRED SKILLS
- PMP Cert
- Experience working with fiber optic and ethernet services
