Provides ongoing Systems Administration support including installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of tools, software, applications, and connectivity components. Provides technical support and advise on the use of programming tools, database systems and networks. Provides support to address availability and reliability issues on various systems (SolarWinds, SQL, SNMP, Linux, Active Directory, Ansible, Python etc.) across multiple locations. Operational responsibilities include validating system compliance, system run enhancement, testing, staging, policy / procedure enhancement, client contact coordination, and operational recommendations.

What you will do to contribute to the company’s success
- Provides systems administration support for network operations tools.
- Works to understand planned implementation of new releases, gauge their impact on internal users and provide testing prior to release.
- Proactively identifies and addresses the systems implications of networked equipment, software and other upgrades or changes.
- Performs trend analysis to identify improvements that can be made to network support systems and tools.
- Works with appropriate teams to resolve network tools outages quickly.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or combination of education and experience.
- Prior experience working in telecommunications preferred.
- Experience with SolarWinds preferred.
- Understanding of networking and IP Scheming .
- Performs implementation of new applications and software as it relates Network technologies and projects.
- Works to enhance current tool sets, develops dashboards, and fine tunes graphical user interfaces to meet the needs of the business.
- Validates the integrity of the datasets for supported applications.
- Maintains the lifecycle management environment for Network Operations applications; Assists with upgrades to technologies that rely upon backend applications.
- Assists with the creation of Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation for configuration templates, method of procedures, application diagrams, knowledge base articles, bill of materials and support documentation.
- Conducts training for new tools, applications, technology upgrades, and implementation to relevant Cable One team members.
- Works as part of a shared services team to determine requirements, risks, and limitations for each project scope.
- Performs on-call duties and overnight network tool changes as assigned.
- Manages relationships with internal resources and application vendors.
