Job Purpose:

Responsible for all activities of the Facilities department, including maintenance and facilities employees and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct the activities of the Maintenance and other Facilities employees and contractors;
  • Maintain a leadership role, by coaching and developing the skills of the on-site Facilities team;
  • Co-ordinate individual or department moves within the site;
  • Organise bids, receive and review quotes for cost effective planning and schedule of building renovations and repair projects;
  • Centralise and co-ordinate procedures for the receipt and storage of supplies and materials;
  • Oversee the placement of keys throughout the building;
  • Responsible for all meeting rooms in the building;
  • Oversee contractual work of electrical, fire systems, plumbing, interior plants, window cleaning, pest control, catering services and cleaning services;
  • Responsible for updating site drawings and floor plans as changes occur;
  • Co-ordinate with IT and Telecoms any internal moves – coordinate date, deliver boxes for moving, coordinate movers;
  • Manage the Switchboard area to ensure that all visitors to Tech Data are greeted professionally and efficiently and directed to the appropriate Tech Data employee in a timely manner;
  • Manage the post room to ensure that all deliveries are accounted for and distributed appropriately, and that the post is delivered to the appropriate divisions;
  • Oversee the daily activities of the site to include routine building maintenance, special construction or renovation projects, workforce relocation projects, and supervisor of the Switchboard, reception and post room areas.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Management Experience of at least 3 years
  • Experience in running contracts
  • Experience of H&S management and relevant qualifications;
  • Capacity and experience of running a P&L
  • Experience of managing and developing a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Time management and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word)
