Field Test Engineer

Position Summary

As a Field Test Engineer, you will have a critical role on the system integration and field test team. Test planning and execution will be a big part of your day along with collaborating with the product development team to understand new features and tests required for new clients. We will rely on your attention to detail and excellent documentation skills to describe problems and identify risks/quality issues.

Responsibilities

· Creation of test plans, execution, and test report preparation for TerraPoiNT

· Understanding system error sources, the operation of test platforms and field test methodology to facilitate error analysis

· Modify the test platform and analysis tools for testing needs working with Systems, HW and SW teams

· Analyze results and summarize conclusions

· Documentation including test details, results and observations

Desired Skills & Experience

Required:

· Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer science or related discipline

· 2+ years’ experience in field testing using navigation/location devices/systems

· Should have good logical and analytical reasoning

· Ability to work in a team and willingness to travel occasionally

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Detail oriented, proactive, self-driven and learning oriented

Preferred:

· Hands-on experience in the lab with HW/SW interfacing such as connecting through serial/network interfaces, operating/controlling lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers.

· Basic understanding of navigation and location technology such as GNSS

· Basic understanding and usage of Python/Matlab.

· Comfortable interfacing with the teams across India, Canada and USA

Physical Demands

· Required to spend time outside the office driving to test locations, as required, setting up test equipment at target locations and testing.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
