Technician I, Utility/Broadband Services

Airosmith Development is currently seeking a Technician I, Utility/Broadband Services position to join their growing Broadband division. Candidate must enjoy working outside in all types of weather conditions inspecting telecommunications infrastructure in various locations.

Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

• Operate in a safe and efficient manner utilizing all required safety equipment (hard hat, safety vest, work boots, etc.).
• Utility pole anatomy, spotting violations, identifying occupants, and proprietary software usage.
• Accurate collection of field data and maintenance of daily/weekly reports.
• Problem solving, attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
• Computer skills, MS Office (Excel software) and internet skills.
• Ability to achieve expected safety, quality, and production goals.
• Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Positively represent Airosmith to customers and the communities in which they work.
• Maintain all company tools and equipment.

Requirements:

• Ability to work outside in all types of weather inspecting utility poles in various locations.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide or regionally as required, including some overnight trips.
• Proficiency in MS office products and computers in general.

Education:

• HS Diploma or GED minimum
• Associates degree or Lineman certification preferred.

Experience:

• Entry‐level position, 1-2 yrs industry experience a plus.
• Knowledge of “Make Ready Design”, NESC codes and/or outside plant design and construction a plus
