Sales Representative – Iowa Telecom

Scope of Responsibility: The Sales Representative is an entry-level sales position designed to support regional and governmental sales staff with daily tasks while learning our business.

Essential Duties:

  • Obtain and maintain full product line knowledge
  • Write structure worksheets and distribute proposals to potential and current customers on time and accurately
  • Work with Sales staff to build business development strategies for customer targets
  • Identify key buying influences and identify creative strategies to close orders/sell products and services
  • Support multiple departments with before and after sale project management details
  • Interact with the sales, estimation and contracts department
  • Work toward becoming a Regional Sales Manager or equivalent
  • Additional duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Recent college graduates urged to apply.

Experience: 1 – 2 years sales experience, working knowledge of an ERP system is a plus

Skills & Abilities: Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment is necessary. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills along with phone etiquette. Must have the ability to complete tasks accurately within allotted time. Must be customer service driven and work well with others. Must have a positive attitude and have an aptitude to learn. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

  • Demonstrated ability to work with frequent interruptions in workflow and constantly changing priorities.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time with the ability to move throughout the office or outside manufacturing plant as needed.
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require use of fingers, hands and arms, such as sitting, typing, using office equipment and reaching. Some additional physical activities may require walking, stooping, bending, twisting and handling of materials.
  • Position requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness and a safety-minded individual.
  • Must have the ability to concentrate on tasks for long periods of time and be able to observe and receive information from all relevant sources.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing as well as answer telephones and greet customers.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
