We are looking for an experienced Sales Operations Specialist to join our team!
General Summary:
The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for supporting a variety of functional groups by assisting with new market launches, forecasting and budgeting Operating and Capital Expenses and working to create and maintain effective sales initiatives. This role partners with leadership to own process improvement, adherence, maintenance, and creation of documentation for the sales department. The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for monthly forecasting and budgeting execution to ensure the goals and objectives for the sales department are kept on track. By providing the organization with strategic data insight, the Sales Operations Specialist will assist in facilitating the acquisition, retention, and growth of business customers in support of targeted revenues. This role is responsible for highly sensitive information and must ensure the confidentiality of records and information.
The position requires a balance of data/technical expertise, organization and attention to detail. This individual must be able to maintain confidentiality, exercise judgment and make decisions consistent with the job responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions:
- Monitors CRM by ensuring proper usage, observing data integrity, generating and maintaining a wide variety of reports used by finance, marketing, various department directors and executive team members;
- Builds strong working relationships within the sales group and other internal functions including Marketing, Customer Care, Service Delivery and Product Development;
- Responsible for sales compensation including; confidentiality, adherence, decision making, developing new commission plans, creating supporting documentation, maintaining and modifying existing processes for efficiencies;
- Assists in planning, executing and reviewing marketing campaigns;
- Creates, updates and maintains internal process and customer collateral, training materials, etc.;
- Travels to customer sites, project areas, business related events, and other Ritter Communications locations as required;
- Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Sales Operations Manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of telecommunications industry, operations, and sales process;
- Knowledge in operating various software programs including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Knowledge of CRM systems such as Salesforce preferred;
- Ability to gather information from various data sources, combine and consolidate information in order to create advanced reporting for use in lead management, forecasting and budgeting;
- Ability to review or create processes and procedures for maximum efficiency;
- Ability to communicate clearly and professional, both verbally and written to all levels of sales personnel, various departments and senior level management;
- Ability to facilitate functional team meetings and translate business needs into processes and procedures that best meet organizational requirements;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines;
- Ability to work independently and pay close attention to detail with little direction;
- Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions consistent with the job responsibilities;
- Ability to solve problems with decorum and make sound decisions using information at hand;
- Ability to travel for business requirements; must possess a valid Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or equivalent and one year of experience in telecommunications or other technology industry preferred.
