JOB SUMMARY:
The Telecommunications Engineer will lead the Zivaro effort to enhance the mission outcomes of our customers through the integration of select technology and services. They will apply skills as an experienced communications professional with a full understanding of industry practices and relevant policies and procedures. Applies advanced professional communications concepts, procedures and objectives to resolve highly complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determines methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to obtain results.
- Develops and maintains relevant documentation.
- Performs telephone services Adds, Moves, Changes.
- Maintains systems as needed, engaging vendors when necessary.
- Interfaces with customers, provides training, assistance as needed.
- Supports Contact Center platform.
- Manages vendor performance and maintains good vendor relations.
- Collaborates with co-workers and customers.
- Plans, tests and deploys new services, features and capabilities.
- Provides expert advice to project leadership where telecom functions are encompassed and manages telecom elements of projects.
- Represents Zivaro in telecom related RFP activities and professional groups.
- 25% – Provides expert advice to users on telecommunication needs.
- 25% – Performs daily telecommunications Moves, Adds, Changes and Deletions (MACD).
- 20% – Responsible for complex telecommunications issue determination and resolution.
- 10% – Identifies and selects training opportunities for professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Preferred 10 years of experience in a related area.
- Advanced knowledge of professional telecommunications and VoIP network systems/infrastructure, and voice and data field as necessary to resolve issues using established parameters, creativity and independent judgment.
- Highly developed problem solving skills to independently resolve issues using defined parameters and technical expertise.
- In-depth, advanced understanding of Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unified Contact Center Express, and Cisco VoIP networking, network related protocols and software including understanding VoIP protocols and related technical standards critical to the operation of interconnected networks.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze highly complex telecommunications hardware and software systems for maintaining a real-time resource that impacts telecommunications users.
- Advanced knowledge and experience working with telecommunications management systems/tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large or complex technical projects including but not limited to deployment of new telecommunications hardware, software or services.
- Ability to develop and maintain documentation including but not limited to end-user instructions, service descriptions, departmental work-flow or work processes, architecture/configuration/inventory records.
Cisco Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, UCCX
U.S. Citizenship is required for most positions at Zivaro due to security clearance requirements and government/federal contracts held by Zivaro.
