Telecommunications Field Technician Wanted

New York metro area telecommunications fiber connectivity provider looking for cable or telephone lineman for indoor-outdoor crew work. Experience in pulling cable, rodding, roping and placing conduit is desired. Experience placing facilities within customer premises is also preferable. Valid drivers required.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installing and pulling cable, rodding, roping, and placing conduits
• Splicing knowledge highly preferred!
• Operating a variety of equipment and/or vehicles
• Maintaining job safety for self and team members
• Report and maintain inventory stock supplies
• Investigate customer issues and design appropriate solutions
• Following company procedure and managing paperwork/data as needed

Job Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Previous experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or other related fields strongly preferred
• Familiarity with telecommunications equipment strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.

Additional Preferences:

• CDL Class B License
