Telecommunications Technician

Working with our Telecommunications team assists in the operation and management of our Cisco Voice over IP (VOIP) phone system and network at our hospitals, physician offices, and remote locations. Assist with maintaining call recording software, Cisco Emergency Responder, and E911 software. Assist in all phone system-related hardware and software upgrades. Responsibilities include the installation and re-location of Cisco phone sets, ATAs, Voice Gateways, network cable drops, PCs, and peripherals, and promptly responding to work orders. Maintains up-to-date documentation of telecommunications circuits and applications including program changes to our VOIP system, voice mail application, and other installation, and software components.

Qualifications:

An Associate’s Degree is preferred; however, significant work experience may substitute for formal training.

Three to five years telephone or PC experience that includes support and maintenance of telephone application systems, PC and peripherals, phone system implementations, and communication wiring.

Must have good communication skills with the ability to work courteously and effectively with all levels of staff.
