The Technical Writing team at The Boeing Company is looking to hire several Writers Editors to join their growing team. In this role you will partner with subject matter experts to draft or revise engineering content to help produce polished, professional, and timely material. Come join our team in Mesa, AZ.

Position Responsibilities:

• Reviews work in progress, disputes and discrepancies

• Gathers input and reconciles conflicting comments

• Writes, edits and proofreads technical, proposal and promotional text and artwork

• Verifies consistency and clarity of communication

• Defines scope of project, negotiates agreement and monitors status

• Develops concepts and proposals for new content management

• Negotiates approaches to content structure and design

• Determines content requirement for regulatory treatment, coordination or approval

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• College degree in Communications, English or Journalism
• 3+ years of experience in technical writing and publishing (SOW writing)
• 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Tools, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Experience with HTML or XML
• Experience with SW repository systems, such as, SVN
• Telecommunications or military experience
• Experience in a role that required strong communication skills
• Experience with single-source documentation programs, such as RoboHelp
• Experience with image and document compression issues

Summary pay range: $62,900 – $85,100.
