2nd Line Support IT Engineer

Location: Sheffield, S3 8JY
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000
An exciting opportunity for 2nd Line IT Engineer to join a busy and award-winning organisation. Based in the heart of Sheffield with modern offices overlooking the river, the successful candidate will have responsibility of ensuring smooth operations of user and system hardware and software used by the XLN team, execute changes and improvement plans.
Key areas of responsibility
- Basic Networking troubleshooting
- Analysing software related issues
- Web proxy management
- Asset management
- Service desk ticket management
- Face-to-face and remote customer service
Requirements
- Knowledge and experience of LAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
- Knowledge and experience of Active Directory
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Desktop and Server operating systems
- Experience or a good understanding of O365 Administration
- Experience with Service desk ticketing system
- Experience with third party web applications
Desirable
- University or college degree in IT discipline
- 1-2 years or more experience in a similar role
- Familiarity with phone systems
- Basic knowledge and experience with SQL Server
- Knowledge with Power Shell scripts
