Airline Senior Analyst – Telecommunications

As part of the telecommunications team, the incumbent will be responsible for analyzing issues and proposing solutions and/or corrections adapted to the current and anticipated needs of Air Transat’s connectivity requirements, among others at the various airports served. He will have to interact with the various teams, including the DSI-Solutions team of Air Transat, when designing and developing technical solutions. In addition, he will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the telecommunications team (Telecom & Telephony).

Responsibilities

Working with Air Transat’s DSI-solutions team, will need to analyze and document the business rules and technological requirements of new requirements, mainly for operations

Formulate business needs and coordinate with external suppliers (SITA, CBSA, Airports in 25 countries) Coordinate reported incidents from SITA for our telecommunications links

Propose and validate solutions

Estimate the time required to complete a solution

Develop the action plan to put them in place (configuration to be made, definition of parameters, step to follow

Responsible for writing the necessary documentation to explain the requirements for improvement or new functionality

Functional analysis & Data Flow Diagrams

Keep up-to-date on products, services, protocols and technical standards in order to support telecommunications operations

Requirements

Degree in informatics or equivalent working experience. +10 years in similar role

Good knowledge of telecommunication principles

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Ability to prioritize workload

Trilingual (French, English and Spanish)

Knowledge of telecommunications at the Caribbean airports

Knowledge of the following technologies is preferable: Cisco routers and switches, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VoIP, TCP/IP, Altéa DCS, AIMS, PDP et BDO

Available to travel frequently internationally
