Urgently in need of CCNA / CCNP Cisco SD-WAN Network Engineer for a Contract-to-Hire position.

The position is “Remote” however, candidate would require to travel to the following locations during the week. All the travel expenses would be covered.

Travel Week(s):

  • Week of 11/7 – Los Angeles
  • Week of 11/14 – Newark NJ
  • Week of 12/5 – Location to be determined
  • Rest of the work is Remote till July 2023

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for documenting the existing core devices and the corresponding switch ports and labeling all cables, as needed
  • Responsible for the configuration of all un-mentioned Cisco and non-Cisco network equipment in relation to connecting to the new network and management hardware/service solutions
  • Responsible for ensuring all racks and equipment is properly grounded, for pro viding and delivering the required rack PDUs, fuses/breakers, and power leads to the equipment racks with the appropriate voltage, amperage, connector types, and quantities required to power the equipment
  • Responsible for any and all application-level testing (OSI layers 4-7)
  • Coordinate with the Client PM, any network outages required for implementations associated with this project
  • Responsible for server and endpoint adapter and/or IP addressing documentation, configuration, and implementation of new endpoint and application IP addressing and NIC teaming, as appropriate
  • Project delays and missed milestones as the result of the client may result in Change Requests
  • Provide timely access to internal subject matter experts as it pertains to any aspect of this engagement
  • Will provide appropriate levels of security access to systems, data, and technology (such as firewalls, switches, routers, storage, etc.) as requested by Client to fulfill the engagement requirements. This also includes physical access to telecom or cabling resources in order to validate existing or future connectivity (patch panels, demarcation rooms, etc.)
  • Provide Consultants and Architects with remote access VPN to configure and provide configuration support to SD-WAN routers and other affected devices when required
  • Responsible for providing all hardware, cabling, cabling infrastructure, software, and licenses required for this engagement
  • Understands that the Viptela suite of management applications/services (vManage,
  • vBond, vSmart) are being hosted in Cisco’s cloud environment. Because of this client will not
  • be responsible for any problems related to said cloud environment(s). In the event that
  • problems exist with Cisco cloud environment(s), the candidate will troubleshoot said problems until
  • resolution or handoff
  • Complete any necessary hardware and software upgrades and/or network changes require, prior to SD-WAN roll-out

Must Have:

  • CCNA / CCNP Certification with over 8-10 years of Network Configuration and high-end support experience
  • Should have hands-on experience with SD-WAN
  • Experience with Viptela would be a huge plus
  • Expertise with security access to systems, data, and technology (such as firewalls, switches, routers, storage) is highly essential

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $65.00 – $70.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
