The Internal Communications Coordinator develops messaging, communications and content to support internal and external programs and campaigns with the intention of driving positive brand perception and strong internal brand engagement. The Internal Communications coordinator will assist the PR/Communications Lead with the development of Social content strategies and plans that amplify overarching brand messages and marketing campaigns. Once plans are complete, they will build social media content and assets to be published under the Clearwave Fiber corporate handles and/or distributed to employee brand advocates for posting to their own social media sites. This role is also responsible to partner with HR to help develop and execute a content strategy for Clearwave Fiber’s Intranet site, including the creation and stewardship of pages and assets.
What you will do:
- Supports the PR/Communications Director in the development and execution of company media relations activity
- Supports HR leadership in crafting employee communications and creation and maintenance of intranet site, pages and content
- Builds social media content and assets according to established brand communications plan and editorial calendar
- Assists in managing media release activity through the execution process and ensures that published releases are shared/made accessible to leadership and others across the organization
- Assists in the delivery of media and video presentation training to senior leaders and other company personnel who are called upon to represent the company to members of the press or in other public venues.
- Assists in the development and delivery of interview and presentation preparation in the form of background materials, talking points, preplanned Q&A, etc. to company representatives in advance of press interviews, conference appearances, panel presentations, etc.
- Assists in the tracking and reporting of monthly press pickups and earned impressions from PR and Social activity.
- Supports Senior Leadership with presentation/slideware development as needed
- Develops and publishes branded content to social sharing platform
- Assists with other projects and requests as needed
Requirements:
What you will bring:
- 2 years of increasing responsibility in marketing or communications roles, telecommunications experience strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related discipline, Master’s degree a plus
- Experience developing social media campaigns and content
- Social community management experience
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and thrive under pressure in a fun, fast paced and changing environment
- Experience with social sharing platforms (Oktopost, EveryoneSocial, etc.) and asset development programs (Canva, Adobe Illustrator, PhotoShop, etc.)is preferred.
- Experience creating video content a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
