Construction Analyst / Project Manager

The Construction Analyst / Project Manager for Overhead Electric and Telecommunications is responsible for scheduling construction crews and work, attending pre-construction meetings, reviews construction drawings, and completes all necessary documentation associated with project controls. Travel required throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Essential Job Duties

• Schedules construction crews using scheduling software.
• Analyzes bid vs. actual for projects.
• One call locate system notifications.
• Completes all necessary documentation associated with projects.
• Meets requirements for function, quality, on-time completion, and budget.
• Coordinates work activities with material requirements with the overall project schedule.
• Take-offs for estimating.
• Measures progress, cost, and quality of construction projects, correct deficiencies when necessary.
• Tracks projects against purchase orders/budget.
• Reviews and approves daily work plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. Technical college or bachelors degree in Construction or related field preferred.
• Experience working in the utilities construction industry preferred.
• Ability to read and understand the scope of work as defined by construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficient in construction scheduling software.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or in a team-oriented environment.
• Some travel required.
