Construction Foremen & Labourers

Expectations of labourer experience:

• reliable & punctual
• hand tool usage
• power tool usage & care
• measuring & calculating
• safe operation of man & scissor lifts
• working alone or within a team
• communication skills
• dedicated to safety at all times
• able to perform physical labour & heavy lifting
• comfortable with working at heights (ie. rooftops, man lifts, etc)
• outdoor/indoor work
• ability to read, write and communicate in English
• ability to perform quality work at a productive rate
• respect & adherence of company and client policies, property & personnel

Additional expectations of foreman experience:

• 3 years of construction experience
• interpret & understanding of blueprints, specs and instructions

• safe operation of pick up trucks, vans, trailers
• decision making
• leadership
• crew planning
• computer & cell phone usage (email, Word, Excel, etc)
• coordination & communication with Project Managers

Applicants Must Have:

• valid & clean driver’s license
• 2 valid forms of government issued ID (ie. passport)
• valid Working at Heights certificate
• valid Health & Safety Awareness Training for Workers (Ontario requirement)
• green patch safety footwear
• basic hand tools
• general construction clothing

Work Description:

• we offer our services in southern Ontario, travel is expected
• all travel expenses are covered by the company (ie. company vehicle/fuel, accommodations, food, etc)
• general construction work; including but not limited to: metal fabrication assembly, installing fabrications on existing buildings, measuring & layout, drilling/cutting, cable pulling, planning & coordination, climbing, lifting, communicating, driving, patching & clean up, etc.
• Normal working day: Monday to Friday day shift starting at 6am
• Weekend and night work is project specific and therefore sometimes required
• Overtime earning potential

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
