Core Network Engineer, Voice
On behalf of our client, Procom is seeking a Core Network Engineer, Voice for a 6 month contract in Toronto, ON.
Core Network Engineer, Voice Must Have Skills
Bachelor+ degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or related discipline
In-depth technical knowledge of mobile voice core network architecture, core network elements (IMS: P/S/I-CSCF, TAS, MRFP, MGCF, ENUM, HSS), communications protocols (including: SIP, RTP, Diameter) and the IP family of protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, IPv6, HTTP2, LDAP, SOAP, XML)
Experience in IP Multimedia Subsystems / SIP / Mobile networks and/or related technologies
Skilled in understanding mobility call/session flows in VoLTE (4G/LTE) networks (3G&5G: an asset), basic understanding of emergency call flows (E911 and location) is desired; online and offline charging flows are an asset
Knowledge of 3GPP, ETSI, IEEE and other industry standards associations
Excellent written and interpersonal skills, being able to initiate, plan, coordinate, and monitor autonomously
Core Network Engineer, Voice Great to Have Skills
5+ years of relevant professional experience
Professional certifications: Red Hat (RHCE), OpenShift/OpenStack, Voice/VoIP, Routing and Switching
5G knowledge
Hands-on experience with Nokia IMS nodesth integrity, empathy and sincerity
