Data Project Manager

A telecommunications client is looking for a Data Project Manager who will collaborate and strategize with other Business Intelligence leaders to share analysis, solutions, data structures and resources to minimize redundancies and improve efficiencies across the organization.

Duration: 7 months or longer

Position Summary:

• Support a team of business intelligence professionals who develop tools to analyze complex business problems using data from internal and external sources to provide strategic and actionable business insights with the overarching goal to reduce operational risk across the enterprise.
• Use technical experience and background to create or leverage tools to develop and support long term analytical data solutions, relevant analytics, and exception reporting. Takes ownership for report/analysis design and creation, code development, validation of results and delivery of product.
• Communicate results by developing dynamic and visual reporting that clearly communicates trends and statistically significant anomalies in the context of the business risk. Leverage strong business acumen, presentation, and communication skills to create and present analysis in a relevant, consumable, meaningful, and insightful ways.
• Collaborate and strategize with other Business Intelligence leaders to share analysis, solutions, data structures and resources to minimize redundancies and improve efficiencies across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Use Tableau to develop professional level dashboards and reporting to provide leadership and front-line employee key information to support ongoing business decision making. This includes writing advanced SQL enabling the reporting to be automated, accurate and timely.
• Use business tools to develop and maintain data extract (ETL) processes for different databases as well as technical support of database/server functionality required for the reporting.
• Partner with cross functional team members to understand how the information is being used, how the tools are utilized, and ensure the reports are aligned with other data points across our business.
• Develop custom reporting tools to provide valuable information to the stakeholders using KNIME, SSRS and other business tools.
• SharePoint development, updates, and maintain access permission as defined by policies established for site access, as assigned perform access audits and draft summary analysis for management.
• Ensure proper process and control documentation is maintained, modified, and developed.
• Assists with updates to existing database design and ensure changes are implemented effectively without impacting production, ensures the integrity of the data and follows proper change control processes.
• Ensure accuracy of reporting through audits of reporting logic, peer review and a commitment to quality control, prepare audit summary reports with findings and potential risks to management upon completion of reporting audits.
