Department manager Low Voltage cabling, infrastructure wiring, Fiber Optic

San Diego network integrator and low voltage contractor is looking for an experienced, hard-working, reliable and technology-savvy Structured Cable/Wiring department manager. Responsible for assigning personell and scheduling projects. Must be able to manage and perform a variety of tasks including the pulling and termination of copper cable for data and telecom, fiber optic cabling and termination, installation of cable management, sleeves, data racks, security cameras, as well as a variety of wireless devices. A minimum of five (5) years of experience is required.

Position requires the following skills:
Ability to work with the sales department on quotes and proposals
Managing and scheduling department employees.
Scheduling projects and tasks.
Following Company policies and rules
Effective communications with customers, management, and fellow employees
Ability to work independently as well as manage multiple crews
Ability to follow proper procedures and follow a scope of work
Must possess excellent written communications skills for work order updates
Honesty, integrity and a strong desire to learn more
Ability to use a variety of computer apps for invoicing, emailing, and spreadsheets

Need to manage staff members on proper techniques for pulling copper and fiber optic cabling
Experience with terminating data, telecom, and fiber optic cables
Experience with using a bucket truck
Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds
Rodding and fishing both underground and above ground conduit
Work in a variety of settings – on ladders, roofs, inside and outside

A valid California drivers license with clean DMV record required. Company Truck is provided for this position.
You must be able to work standard hours and/or 2nd shift and weekends as well as overtime when required. Must be interested in learning new skills and working hard. YOU MUST HAVE standard industry tools and ladder.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30.00 to $51.00 /hour
