Due to explosive and exciting growth, we are seeking a Director of Construction to join our telecommunications construction team in Montana market – ideally in the Missoula or Butte area.

Not in Montana now but still interested? The Role

The Director of Construction will be responsible for all strategic and operational aspects of our construction business in the Montana market. Responsibilities include safety (always #1) leadership, team member management, coaching and training, customer relationship management, quality control, metrics analysis/management, regulatory compliance, issue resolution with customers/contractors, and project management – just to name a few!

Requirements:

  • Prior knowledge or experience with aerial and underground construction, network operations and associated inventory for both RF and Fiber, bucket truck work
  • Network and asset knowledge and planning to include Aerial and Underground assets and network inventory knowledge
  • Open to a variety of schedules; evenings and/or weekends as needed
  • Ability to travel daily as needed
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to complete work outdoors, in tight spaces and elevated by bending, reaching, twisting, climbing, and working while standing up to 70% of the time
  • Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains and job sites
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering -and/or- equivalent work experience required
  • 10 years of total relevant experience including significant experience in a supervisory/leadership role required
  • OSHA 20 certification (or ability to obtain) is ideal
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in estimating, bidding projects and change order preparation

Valid driver’s license and ability to successfully pass all pre-employment items (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen) is required.
