Will participate with the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all network hardware, software, and communication links with limited supervision. This individual architects design and builds data communication networks, including local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and intranets. This individual will also troubleshoot network performance issues, as well as analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions. This individual shall analyze and resolve wireless local area networks (WLAN) hardware, software problems in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user training where required. Is also responsible for the organization’s
telecommunications infrastructure which includes architecting, configuring, diagnosing, repairing, upgrading, and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail, and VoIP/IP-PBX communication systems. This position has team lead responsibility for larger or more demanding concurrent projects and may act in liaison capacity with other departments, divisions and organizations. Plans and conducts assignments, assisting with review and evaluation of personnel performance. Operates with considerable latitude for un-reviewed action or decision. Diagnoses system problems at an expert level, alone and with assistance from vendors or manufacturers. Participates in disaster recovery planning and exercises. Leads in the research and implementation of new technologies, equipment or services. Manages documentation, promotes teamwork, demonstrates excellent communication, and coordination skills. Maintains technical certifications, assists with training others to include training schedules and plans. Writes, reviews and maintains related policies and procedures, recommending changes where appropriate.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in information systems or closely related field required. Four years related experience can be substituted in place of Bachelor’s degree.
Licensure/Certification:
Need to be either Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Checkpoint Certified Managed Security Expert (CCMSE) at the time of hire or within 12 months of obtaining position.
Experience:
Eight years directly related professional networking experience required to include project management experience, leadership/supervisory experience highly desired. Experience in a health care information systems environment is preferred.
Knowledge, skills, abilities:
1. Must be able to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously. Must be able to manage project activities, including their own, in a manner that maintains progress and meets milestones through direct involvement, clear communication, consistent coordination and the creative use of resources.
2. Expected and required to personally demonstrate continuous team-building skills and encourage the same in other team members. At a minimum, takes steps to insure each team member is communicating, coordinating and engaging with others on the team on a daily basis. Requires leading by example and demonstrates well-developed leadership qualities.
3. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular fields of specialization to the completion of complex assignments and problem solving. Crosses technical fields, but demonstrates the ability to see, accept and resolve human and technical problems
without being prompted. Takes actions to accelerate the resolution of problems communicated or observed.
4. Demonstrates sound judgment, initiative, enthusiasm and dependability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 – $1.01 per hour
