Responsibilities:
Develops and tests solutions to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, sales, construction, inspection, and maintenance. Job Duties: Assists engineers and scientists as they create, modify, and test products and processes. Performs extensive research and development during creation phase of product. Inspects products and processes for flaws and identifies areas of improvement. Conducts tests and collects data. Utilizes computer-aided design and drafting equipment during design phase. Experience and Education: Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter. May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. Typically requires HS and 2-4 years.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Knowledge of access control systems
- Experience in the installation, troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of access and lock systems
- Understanding the concept of biometric systems is an asset
- Knowledge of technical support such as managing, maintaining, and repairing IT systems. Solid experience in installing and configuring hardware and software including call handling skills, incident and problem tracking procedures, and quality assurance processes.
- Good analytical and incident resolution skills
- Versatile technical knowledge including network, Windows, Wiegand, OSDP…
- Good organization and time management skills to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Very good team spirit.
- Professional attitude in dealing with clients.
- Ability and autonomy to telecommute according to the company’s policy
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Engineer profile with 5 years of experience
- Preferably with 3 years of experience in the field of technical assistance
- Writing and speaking French, Spanish or Portuguese is an asset
