Field Service / Application Engineer

Quest Controls, Inc. is a design and manufacturer of monitoring and control solutions for telecommunications and commercial buildings. We are seeking team-oriented service specialists with a strong building controls background and solid computer skills to join our team. Position is in our Palmetto, Florida Corporate office

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Prepare accurate quotes by gathering information and analyzing material, scope and job costing
• Maintain proper files for product quotes within company quotations program
• Provide technical support to customers both in person and over the phone
• Provide technical support to sales staff
• Manage, lead, inspect, and perform installations projects
• Write and edit technical papers and manuals
• To lead meetings and present in front of a group
• To provide classroom style or hands on training

Qualifications Required

• Able to work independently
• Must be able to multi-task
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with an attention to details
• Technical degree or Military training in computers or electronics
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Solid computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office & Visio
• Good communication and technical writing skills
• Capable of generating and/or working from electrical schematics
• Understanding/working knowledge of Energy Management Systems and/or controls
• Familiarity with standard electrical installation practices and NEC a plus
• A “customer focus” attitude
• Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
• Must be willing to Travel
• HVAC experience a plus
