CEIs Fortune 50 Client in Media and Communications is adding a Field Engineer who will oversee and validate Fiber, HFC, and Coax project work being completed by sub-contracting teams in the Nashville-Area.
- Long-term contract with potential for permanent conversion
- Candidates must be currently local to Nashville, TN
- It is expected that this role is in the field about 80% of their time, with all other work being preformed remotely.
- Expense Program in-place for site-to-site mileage
Responsibilities:
- Ensures the execution of overhead/underground construction duties such as: placing hardline cables, frame and strand poles, transfer facilities between poles, place cable in joint trench, and safe operation of construction vehicles and cable trailers.
- Investigates and monitors accurate record keeping concerning project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.
- Instructs work site safety standards; conducts work site visits to ensure compliance with safety standards and participates in regular safety meetings with the crew.
- Supports Specialists and leadership team with coordination of projects.
- Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditure
Required and Desired Skills:
- Understanding of Cable Systems and Telecommunications construction projects (node spits, cutovers, Fiber, Coax, HFC networks, or other) is required
- Knowledge of Underground, Aerial Coaxial and fiber construction is required
- Engineering background, system print knowledge, Permitting and any experience with the City/County/State underground construction processes is highly prefered.
- Past experience with Salesforce, Sage, or other Project Management tools is preferred.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
