Mission Statement
The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) is a dynamic, forward-leaning organization, on the cutting edge of cybersecurity, DevSecOps, cloud computing, big data analysis, and other advanced technologies. JITC is the Department of Defense’s Joint Interoperability Certifier and the only non-service operational test agency for information technology and national security systems. As a member of the Jacobs team at JITC, your expertise and skill will support risk-based test, evaluation and certification services, ensuring the C4ISR systems scheduled for fielding to our nation’s warfighters function as designed, are fully interoperable, and support mission requirements.
Job Description
- Interpret requirements, specifications, and diagrams for testing, and create or adjust testing configurations accordingly.
- Configure test connections to include channels and routes between System and Partner interfaces in support of Interoperability Testing.
- Provide technical assistance to include validation of electronic transactions (Electronic Commerce/Electronic Data Interchange) and testing of configurations prior to implementation.
- Communicate with end users and internal customers to help direct configuration, debugging, and testing of application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability, and completeness.
- Provide connection testing and troubleshooting, files validation, tracking missing files, and test support.
- Excellent verbal and written/documentation communications skills to work with all levels of internal and external clients.
- Ability to support test and evaluation events to include test planning and coordination.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within restricted timeframes.
- Detail-oriented, able to work independently, self-motivated, proactive team player.
- Working in an agile development environment, collaborate with developers and test team members; adhere to project schedules and milestones; and provide status updates to Test Lead.
- Answer incoming customer calls and emails to solve problems and educate users.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with users and work to establish a positive rapport with every customer.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
Required Education, Training, and Experience:
- Requires an Associate’s degree; a minimum of 60 semester hours of formal education working towards an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of experience; or at least 6 years of experience is required.
- Related certifications in the area of specialization may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
- The degree must be in a relevant technical curriculum and experience must be related to the job duties.
- The minimum of Secret level DoD Security Clearance is required.
- Knowledge of UNIX operating system and basic VI editor commands.
