Position Summary*
Jensen Precast is recruiting an Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative to perform engineering plan take-offs, build formal quotations, and provide sales and estimating support for the Water Resources team. He/she will function as a primary point of contact for contractors and other customers through the bidding and negotiation phase of projects. Additionally, the Inside Sales Representative will work closely with Jensen Project Managers, branches, and vendors to ensure accurate pricing is always provided.

Principle Accountabilities*

  • Estimating: The Inside Sales Representative’s primary work task will be to develop and solicit project specific quotations to Jensen’s customers.
  • Sales: This position will require interpersonal skills for working with customers, and internal personnel to secure customer orders and additional work for Jensen Water Resources.
  • The Inside Sales Representative will coordinate with Jensen Water Resources Project Managers to assist in building engineer’s estimate and other project related tasks.
  • Construction bids are time sensitive and must be held in high regard. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying and meeting customer’s timelines.
  • Accuracy: The quotations produced by the Inside Sales Representative are formal documents which require accuracy and precision. The Inside Sales Representative must take ownership of these items and will be expected to keep pricing current and accurate at all times.
  • Vendors: To ensure pricing is always accurate, the Inside Sales Representative will be required to work closely with Jensen’s vendors and regularly solicit bid requests.
  • Margin: To ensure Jensen is making accurate profits on projects, the Inside Sales Representative will work with Vendors and Customers to ensure costs are kept at a minimum, while pricing is competitive with industry standard.
  • Customer Service. Maintain strong relationships with customers and team members throughout the sales cycle.
  • Opportunity: As a primary point of contact for Jensen Water Resources, the Inside Sales Representative must regularly be conscious of all products that Jensen can provide and coordinate with customers providing pricing for all items. Additionally, this person should be looking for product opportunities that Jensen currently cannot meet but should evaluate for potential growth.
  • This position will report to the Water Resources General Manager and coordinate closely with the product line specific Division Managers.

Position Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with an orientation toward personal growth and continuous improvement. This position requires skills in reading engineering plans, coordination of multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, ability to meet required deadlines, and interpersonal skills for working with Jensen’s direct customers.

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
