We are searching for a Network and Telecommunications Specialist to be our Mobile Device Management Administration expert, helping us provide external public safety services, payment services, background check authorizations, etc. Our vision is that “All Washington’s children and youth grow up safe and healthy-thriving physically, emotionally, and educationally, nurtured by family and community.”
The Opportunity:
This Network and Telecommunications Specialist will support DCYF Telecommunication systems using current data/voice network security technologies and provide secure voice network connectivity and services. Will work with mobile device management solutions and administer phone registration. Additionally, you will install upgrade, configure, test, maintain, and support operating system software in a production environment.
Some of what you will get to do:
- Work on complex problems where analysis or situations require in-depth evaluation of various factors within phone system and network.
- Provide support for Call/Contact Center, Avaya PBX, Nortel PBX, WebEx, and other telephony applications.
- Train end users on usability and functionality of newly deployed or updated handsets and services.
- Provide next day support to resolve any installation issues and connectivity issues.
- Liaison between communications and customers and ensure successful implementation of VoIP and Digital telephony services.
- Deploy contract center enhancements, remote agent software, and Session Initiated Protocol (SIP).
- Deploy and maintain security policies, compliance rules and restrictions to pushed devices in Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM).
- Troubleshoot issues for mobile devices using EMM.
- Administer and manage mobile devices iPhone, iPad enrollment configuration.
- Maintain documentation of the EMM system architecture and configuration to ensure successful ongoing support.
- Manage and triage escalated incident tickets.
- Provide expert consultation and support for voice infrastructure and mobile devices
- Evaluate, test, and implement hardware, firmware, and driver updates for all equipment.
Required Qualifications:
Education
Experience
A Bachelor’s degree including 9 semester or 15 quarter hours of computer science courses or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) or the Council for Higher Education (CHEA). .
Four years of consultative, administrative, or supervisory experience in information technology analysis, system maintenance, or troubleshooting/problem resolution experience, or analyzing, designing, or programming computer systems applications or databases.
An Associate’s degree or completion of an accredited vocational training program in an information technology or related program.
Six years of consultative, administrative, or supervisory experience in information technology analysis, system maintenance, or troubleshooting/problem resolution experience, or analyzing, designing, or programming computer systems applications or databases.
OR
Four years of information technology experience such as consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, installing and/or maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment, directing projects, providing customer or technical support in information technology; or administering or supervising staff that performed work in any of these information technology disciplines.
OR
One year as an Information Technology Systems Specialist 4 or an Information Technology Application Specialist 4 or equivalent or higher.
In addition to the requirements above, our ideal candidate will possess some or all of the following experiences, knowledge, and abilities.
- Experience in Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of DCYF public disclosure, adoption, and discovery policy and processes.
- Knowledge of Famlink case management system.
- Knowledge of ACT case management and WACompass licensing system.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience working with Managed Printing.
- Experience in Mobile Device Management.
- Experience in Disaster Recover Planning and Implementation.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $6,354.00 – $8,336.00 per month
