Our Las Vegas headquarters is home to our national customer service, accounting, and technology teams, along with our Network Operations Center (NOC), which provides Internet security services and remote 24/7 monitoring for all of our networks.

The Smart City Technician is a fun, fast-paced, entry level role for an individual that is a customer service all-star who would like to enter the IT and telecom networking field.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

· Interacting with show and event customers to help connect their networks

· Taking show schematics/ maps and plans and transforming them into real-life, well connected networks

· Monitoring the inventory and restocking their cart to ensure they have all the tools needed for the customer’s set-up as planned

· Troubleshoot and repair network issues for end users in a busy convention environment

· Clearly and professionally communicates with all clients and facility staff regarding company products and services

· Recommends changes in procedures, maintenance requirements and upgrades of existing services to company and client

· Analyzes client requests and clearly recommends additional or more suitable services to meet client expectations

· Demonstrates initiative to develop to higher-level skilled position requiring less supervision

Qualifications

· Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc. This team member will have good working knowledge of physical data networks, both fiber and CAT5/6; familiarity with Internet and IP networks; Cisco switch configuration and troubleshooting tasks; ability to use Telnet, Traceroute, and Ping; properly configure/troubleshoot TCP/IP configurations on multiple PC operating platforms; properly terminate and test straight and crossover cables; troubleshoot physical connectivity for both fiber and CAT5/6 backbones and build networks. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, possess good customer service skills and be able to exercise independent judgment.

· Proficient in the following software applications including but not limited to Windows 10/11, MS Office 365 Suite, and macOS.

· Must be able to provide technical assistance and support for incoming trouble tickets; respond to support request either in person or over the phone; Strong attention to detail and clearly communicates in English.

· Ability to multi-task and respond to multiple interruptions in a professional manner

· Exceptional organizational skills

· Professional presence and demeanor

· Passion for technology, desire to learn in IT and telecom networking field

· Customer Service focused, friendly while exhibiting a can – do mentality
