IT Project Manager

IDC is looking for an IT Project Manager for Financial Systems to run the implementation of Financial System across all its business units globally. The IT Project Manager must effectively and professionally lead project delivery and solution. The project manager will lead a team comprising of internal IT, accounting, finance specialists, and implementation partners and will report on a regular basis to the steering committee consisting of senior IDC and IDG leadership. The project team as a whole will be responsible for analyzing requirements and recommending an appropriate solution under the leadership of the Project Manager.

Responsibilities

Deliver products/solutions through the life cycle of the project from the draft phase to the final solution rollout

Implement a good communication strategy within the project to ensure that all stakeholders are regularly briefed

Take responsibility and ownership of project tasks and deliverables

Manage cross functional teams and develop direct reports

Build close partnerships and be a liaison for various stakeholders including cross functional teams, SMEs, and vendors

Produce scope of works project plan as per requirements

Handle assessment of risks for successfully delivery of tasks

Determine resource allocation and prioritization

Manage a team of internal Business Analysts and/or Product Owners as well as external vendors working on the project(s)

Analyze and resolve complex problems and business processes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with an IT and/or accounting discipline is preferred

5-8 years of full cycle enterprise business project management experience with 3+ years of experience with management. Experience with Financial Systems is a plus

Previous business analyst experience with evidence of a track record of successful full cycle IT project management skills, tools and methodologies

Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies

Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills as well as strong written documentation with attention to detail

Must be tenacious and self-motivated with an ability to encourage others and drive issues to a resolution in a geographically dispersed team

Collaborative, flexible and adaptable when working with various stakeholders

Excellent desktop software skills – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio etc.
