The Opportunity

Our IOT & Engineering Team specializes in delivering the most complex projects which require cross-functional technical skillsets in challenging and dynamic project environments. CP’s area of focus is Product Engineering, Plant Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Manufacturing Operations Management, Industry 4.0, Industrial Internet of Things and Consumer Internet of Things. The team has presence across industries, with extensive traction in Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Telecom Energy and Utilities, Retail, Automotive and Consumer Goods. Clients count on our Manufacturing and IOT expertise to help them architect the bridge between the physical world of sensors, machines, industrial processes, places, people and the digital world of software, IoT platforms and data. Our Team is young, dynamic and intercultural. A mix of young graduates, experienced and senior professionals. We capitalize TEAMWORK, act like ONE and support each other.

As a Java Developer, you will conceive, design, and implement sophisticated applications according to customer requirements and expand them with new functionalities. You take into account the industry-specific and technical requirements of the customer and contribute your own ideas and experience. Your analytical strength will help you in the creation of technical concepts, architecture and software. As a member of a Scrum team, you will develop new Java applications based on the Spring Framework and Cloud Services according to customer requirements. You will work with highly scalable and fail-safe systems, use the latest tools in your work and have an influence on which technology is used. As part of an agile team, you check the development work with code reviews and are familiar with a CI/CD workflow and Azure DevOps. The refactoring of existing modules is also part of your tasks.

Must-haves

Required & nice-to-have Skills

• Completed degree in computer science or comparable training
• You have at least 3+ years of practical experience in software development and are familiar with a CI/CD workflow
• Technical and process knowledge:
• Java EE 8/11, Glassfish/Payara 4/5, PostgreSQL/Oracle
• JavaScript, Ext JS, HTML5
• Microservice-Architecture, AWS, Openshift
• Apache Kafka
• Toolskills: IntelliJ, DBeaver, Informatica Powercenter
• Enthusiasm for technically complex tasks and the ability to work within a dynamic environment
• The ability and the will to question and optimize existing technical principles
• Strong awareness of software quality and enthusiasm for new technologies
• Your open nature helps you to communicate professionally with colleagues and customers
• Proficient usage of MS Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Close cooperation with near- and offshore colleagues to ensure successful project realization
• Managing and mentoring colleagues in the team
• Languages; English fluent; German fluent
