Compensation:

  • $18-$25 per hour, depending on relevant experience. Potential for performance-based advancement.
  • Bonus offered on select projects for exceeding project KPIs.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Technical Skills: Ability to operate hand tools and handheld mobile devices

Skills: Effective communication, outstanding customer service

Abilities: Critical thinking, problem solving, sound decision making, managing priorities

Travel Ability: Daily travel, based in Hoover, AL, with travel throughout the Southeast; valid state driver’s license and safe driving record

Background Check: Must be able to clear a background check and/or drug test to enter government facilities.

Drug Testing: As a part of our policy to ensure a substance free workplace, Ambit team members are required to consent to random drug testing.

Job Description

The Low Voltage Field Service Technician performs multiple duties in the implementation of a VoIP Phone System. They perform a site survey and document the existing network environment. Installation and termination of any new CAT5/6 cables as needed. Places and connects to the network all new devices associated with the project (VoIP phones, IP Speakers, ATA’s). Installs the new VoIP solution on the client site and interfaces with a web GUI to set up the initial configurations per client specifications. Provides onsite client support during first day of new solution operation. Conducts basic training for all staff during the first day of use.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
