The Role
The Sr. Communications Coordinator will develop and implement internal and external communication strategies and plans in partnership with the Service Delivery Business Operations manager & Sr. Director. This position will make recommendations for message and information development, selection of communication vehicles/methods, and scheduling of communications. They will develop the communications based on the target audiences.
The Main Responsibilities
- Develop overarching internal communication strategy for Service Delivery
- Develop internal and external stakeholder communications including newsletters, blogs, etc.
- Understand and leverage multiple communication vehicles including SharePoint, Yammer, Poppulo, etc.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to enhance communications and drive better engagement and operational readiness
- Understands the Service Delivery organization, the teams and the roles that support Lumens overall strategy and goals
- Contribute to content writing, following Lumen’s approved messaging framework and content policies and ensuring proper approvals are received and recorded.
- Partner with internal customer experience teams to improve Lumen’s Service Delivery customer experience through customer journey mapping to identify pain points and recommended solutions
- Support cross-functional teams and organization on evolving the customer communications regarding end-to-end products.
- Ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects Service Delivery’s strategic vision Qualifications
- Experience with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
- Experience leading an internal communications campaign, including creating cascading messages, collateral, talking points, posters, job aids, presentations, etc.
- Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
What We Look For in a Candidate
- BA or BS Degree in a marketing, communications, or technology field
- Professional with 5+ years of experience
- Analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen.
- Strong organizational, communication and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of different communication vehicles
- Knowledge of internal and external communication strategy and execution, including revenue blog concepts
- Knowledge in telecom industry, including metrics
- Storyteller with experience in writing and telling stories to share information
- Experienced blogger focused on writing thought leadership pieces
- Interviewing of internal and external customer to obtain meaningful information
- Results-oriented, solid organizational skills, ability to identify issues and implement solutions
- Comfortable operating in a rapidly changing environment
- Executive level presentation development and interaction with executives

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
