What you’re looking for:
Maintain the integrity, functionality and security of the Halton Healthcare information systems server and storage environment.

Provide the technical skills required in the planning, procurement, implementation and support of the hospitals information technology infrastructure.

Maintain a broad knowledge of the Information Systems departmental activities and procedures including Operations, Applications, Network and Telecommunications.

Responsible for the design, implementation, support and maintenance of all server hardware, operating system software, and application software configurations in both the physical and virtual environment.

Provide user level services such as designing security policies, configuring groups, configuring accounts, administering data and print sharing and active directory administration.

Provide senior level support to the Help Desk. Supports and maintains back-up operations on all server/storage equipment and all data/applications. Installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports desktop operating system software, applications, desktop hardware and peripheral equipment.

Also responsible for asset management and technical procedural documentation.

Assist with the technical evaluation of emerging data centre technologies.

Contributes to the development and implementation of the departmental strategic plan. Other duties as assigned.

Information Technology Degree or Diploma or equivalent education / work experience required

Industry standard technical certifications.

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the information systems field including experience with applications, networking, operations and telecommunications required

Excellent computer hardware troubleshooting and support skills required

Proficiency with SAN/storage solutions required

Proficiency with VMware and VSphere6.5 required

Proficiency with LAN/WAN/WLANs required

Proficiency with MS Exchange required

Proficiency with commercial backup and deduplication products required

Proficiency with SQL Server administration desirable

Knowledge of security products including firewalls, IDS/IPS, virus/malware protection, internet filtering, encryption desirable

Knowledge of Fault Tolerant Architecture Design and Disaster Recover/Business Continuity Plans desirable

MEDITECH Client/Server including Expanse experience desirable

Technical writing / documentation skills required

Excellent verbal and written communication skills desirable

Business analysis and problem solving skills desirable

Satisfactory attendance and performance record required
