To develop carrier relationship in Europe region with specific focus on UK & Ireland, Benelux, Nordics and Italy, to enhance TCL competitiveness on local access.
To ensure the offnet access design / solution of RFP response satisfy the requirements of customer comprehensively and can be implemented smoothly when ordered against.
To ensure the commercials associated to the offnet access design / solution are the lowest & most aggressive in the market.
To conduct efficiently Offnet Access negotiations in Europe for qualified bids & high value deals.
To be the Specialist Practitioner of Offnet Access Negotiation in Europe for qualified bids & high value deals.
To follow up on the progress of qualified and/or high value deals and manage the communications flow with 3rd parties/partners
Broad outline of the Role
To collaborate with bid management & presales solution architect
To understand the offnet access requirements of the bid & end customer
To propose effective offnet access solution design satisfying bid requirements (e.g. below latency limit, interface compatibility, supplier diversity, path diversity, power diversity, node diversity, dual access minimum distance apart, route maps, diverse leads into building, MDF room diversity, MUX diversity etc.)
To conduct commercial negotiations with offnet access suppliers to ensure it’s the lowest amongst all bidders, and best in competition.
To ensure offnet access commercials are of high quality (i.e. zero errors, conduct audit) before bid submission.
To secure better than standard SLA for bid if required.
To track bid status and follow up till bid win
Minimum qualification & experience
Bachelor / Diploma of Business Management, Commerce, Engineering in any field (It is not important as satisfaction of Functional, Behavioral, Technical Skills are more essential.)
> 2 years of relevant experience working in telecom providers
Special Added advantage: Relevant working experience on local access management preferably with global telcos or regional telcos
Added advantage: Experience in driving cost savings initiatives
Added advantage: Specific knowledge of European access market
Other knowledge/skills
High level understanding of Offnet Access technologies such as TDM, Ethernet, MPLS, WLL, WIMAX, Wireless BB, Microwave, Satellite and other emerging Networking technologies and their commercial manifestations.
Good working knowledge of Internet products, ie DIA, broadband and mediums, ie xDSL, FTTx, wireless etc.Basic understanding of IP addressing.
Moderate level understanding of Global Networks & technologies
“Street Smart” Negotiation Skills – targeting at European suppliers E.g. ability to navigate through direct or indirect ways to get commercials below competition
*** Knowledge of Offnet Access market prices in Europe
Existing working relationship with Telecom Service Providers and Carriers in Europe
Fast & Efficient in approach
Ability to work in diverse business and cultural environments

To conduct win-loss analysis, learn and ensure better performance in next assignment.
Process
To work with Senior Management on drawing up the bid-access optimization-win-order-delivery process, to be as simple, efficient & implementable as possible.
To work on and develop on quoting methods with access providers with specific focus on automation, ie API, LMX, provider portals.
