padoxIT is looking for an Amazing Network Analyst!

Do you have a passion for all things IT and some wicked problem-solving skills? How about a keen understanding of the importance and urgency of keeping the systems humming, a positive can-do attitude and genuinely like helping end users?

As the Network Analyst, you will be responsible to monitor, configure and troubleshoot the managed suite of products deployed to padoxIT’s customers. You will also have the technical resources with a wide breadth of technical experience and expertise. As such, you are empowered to make on the spot design and operational decisions.

What your day-to-day will look like…

• Monitor managed infrastructure and investigate related alerts
• Promote and enforce best practices on solutions delivery to produce maximum uptime
• Provide consultative and professional services to our customers

• Work with vendors for product information and technical support

• Engaging with other departments for solutions design and delivery

• Research and evaluate new products and technologies

• Design and build tools to assist in operations management such as knowledge bases, capacity planning systems etc.

• Perform quality assurance and testing to ensure production readiness

• Record all work and incident details using ticketing system

We need a rock star with the following skills and experience…

• Minimum 2 years network experience in a data center and managed IT services environment
• College or University Degree focusing on the discipline of telecommunication or engineering
• Experience with multi-vendor hosted environments
• Solid understanding and production experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Cisco CCNA, Barracuda Firewalls, Barracuda Backup Solutions, Network+ or other network and OS related certifications or experience
• Ability to remain calm when dealing with a crisis
• Strong understanding of IP and TCP/IP protocols
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and OSI model
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent teamwork and customer service skills
• Innovative problem solver who thinks outside the box to fix issues
• Positive, friendly and a sense of humour goes a long way : )
