Network Designer

Description:
In his sector of activity, plans and coordinates the engineering of external network development projects (fiber). The network designer is responsible for the costs and schedules for carrying out his external network engineering projects.

Estimates the costs of carrying out projects, taking into account the costs of labor and materials and/or supplier quotes and ensures compliance with approved budgets.

Acts as technical specialist and leader of assigned projects by partnering with a technical team (other analysts, technicians) and, as such, establishes work plans, communicates effectively and coordinates the efforts of the team so that it achieves the targeted objectives and responds globally to its projects.

Coordinates and manages the various mandates granted to external engineering firms. Ensures regular and constant follow-up with external stakeholders by validating the progress of requests and the quality of deliverables for the engineering of the external network.

Participates in the realization of engineering works; is responsible for equipment acceptance procedures, monitoring of budgets and completion schedules, closing and final analysis of its projects when completed.

Validates major equipment requisitions; if necessary, justifies and obtains approval of the major budget variations that it may anticipate or that occur on its projects.

Ensures the compliance of the engineering and development of network projects by analyzing work plans or making recommendations to the project to provide quality service at the best cost. Ensures that the preparation of work plans are complete and according to the standards for the use of structures (overhead or underground)

Establishes and maintains good relations with the people he meets in the company, in particular with the work teams of which he is a member, and with those outside (suppliers, customers, connected companies, business partners. ..).

Maintains and develops a customer service attitude at all times by establishing positive and professional relationships with external and internal customers by providing quality service, assistance, information and advice to ensure their satisfaction.

1. Conception en réseau extérieur (fibre) / Outside Plant Engineering (Fibre)
2. Gestion de projets / Project Management
3. Français est un requis / French is mandatory
Nice to have skills:
1. Connaissance en civil / Knowledge of Civil plan/structures
2. Bonne connaissance et expérience avec Excel / Highly skilled and experienced with Excel
3. Norme commune (technique) / Common Standards (Technical)

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Salary: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
