The Network Engineer I conducts all activities related to operations, maintenance, and new deployments of voice communications for the company.
Job Responsibilities
- Establishes service and manages timelines for new telecommunications at corporate and retail sites.
- Supports telecom issues with existing service.
- Support of routers, switches, and firewals
- Communicates directly with internal customers, vendors, and service providers.
- Communicates information to appropriate individuals in a timely manner. Manages daily telecom reporting processes and services.
- Order cellular services as well as audit monthly billing.
- Works with vendors to cancel services as well as optimize billing for all locations.
- Assists with maintaining a harassment-free work environment
- Observes TBC Code of Ethical Business Conduct.
- Supports company safety initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- One year telecommunications experience installing telephone lines, and service preferred.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of telecom terminology and processes, including PRIs, T1 lines, POTS, analog and digital technologies.
- Ability to work effectively with telecom vendors and technicians.
- Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
- Excellent customer service skills

- Self-Motivation and ability to work with Deadlines
- Occasional bending or stooping
- Work environment is office atmosphere, quiet conditions.
