Key Job Points

  • In-Person, Onsite only. There is no remote work

  • Require a strong Cisco or Juniper background. Must know how to troubleshoot network problems with said equipment.
  • Comfortable in a NOC environment. Telecom experience preferred (Cienna Optical networking, route/switch, etc)

Are you an experienced Network Engineer who has worked in a NOC or has worked at a Telecom Opeartor? We are looking for several infrastructure leads to monitor, troubleshoot, device provision and apply change management to our customers and maximize performance and uptime of mission critical environments.

SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish good working relationships with others.
  • Experience with project management methodology an asset
  • Experience developing and submitting reports to Executive Management required
  • Experience with IP and Gigabit Ethernet Transport and Optical Networking.
  • Demonstrated aptitude assimilating new technologies into existing operations.
  • Proficient in Data Network Operations, including fault and performance monitoring, trouble ticketing, business notification and procedural escalations.
  • Excellent technical writing, oral and presentation skills required.
  • An understanding of Sonet, RF, TCP/IP, Cisco/Juniper routers, Digital Phone and Internet Services (News, Mail, DHCP, DNS, etc) is required.
  • Knowledge of CATV equipment, operational procedures, return path management, test equipment and operating parameters is required.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet and fibre network troubleshooting tools preferred.
  • Knowledge of Digital Telephone over cable (VOIP) would be preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $30.00 – $55.00 per hour
