Network Engineering Manager

A cutting-edge software company HQ’d in Colorado and Austin, TX has a mission to provide low-income communities with fiber optic networks at an affordable rate. They are hiring for a Hybrid Network Engineering Manager with network automation experience and knowledge of switches and routers to do 60% management and 40% hands-on with the network side of this companys infrastructure. In this role, youll be leading a team of 2 people that will eventually become a team of 10 in the years to come. You will also be managing and directing all aspects of the Network Engineering teams, including assigning IT projects, and maintaining a customer service-oriented environment by performing advanced troubleshooting of network hardware and security systems to resolve any operational issues and restore services.

Must Haves:

• Experience with Network Automation Engineering
• Experience with Scripting in Python
• Knowledge of network concepts, Switches, Routers, Protols such as TCP/IP
• Previous Leadership/Managerial experience

Nice-to-Haves:

• Previous startup experience
• Experience working a Telecom company
• Familiarity with major municipal network architectures and standards such as GPON, Active Ethernet, millimeter wave, DOCSIS, and HFC
