Network Technician

Scion technical search has been engaged to conduct an immediate search to find a well-rounded Network Technician for our client, a well-established telecom solutions company headquartered in Hillsboro, Oregon.

The Lab Technician will be supporting a team of individuals in rack building, PCB rework, Demo/Prototype and proof of concept setup and will also be responsible for running basic test, records observations, and report results.

This position is for immediate, contract to hire employment based out of Hillsboro, OR.

What you will be doing:

• Designing and installing computer networks, connections, and cabling.
• Troubleshooting systems failures and identifying any roadblocks in the network.
• Maintaining and repairing all necessary hardware.
• Working with vendors to get necessary equipment for the networks and systems.
• Providing technical support to everyone on your team.
• Performing and maintaining necessary upgrades to the network infrastructure.

What you will need:

• 2 1/2 + years of experience in hardware rework, boards, debugging and systems assembly.
• Knowledgeable of Linux commands, device driver porting/development/debugging and embedded system programming/debugging.
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
