Responsibilities
- Design new microwave links as a backhaul solution using propagation tools
- Plan and design to upgrade existing Microwave links
- Use propagation tools for inter and intra-interference analysis
- Work in an MICS environment and do the frequency coordinate with the frequency users
- Apply Microwave frequency requests to ISED for approval, get frequency approval and implement those in the network
- Very good understanding of MW equipment hardware and configuration
- Perform network capacity audit and get transmission backhaul capacity utilization report, do the analysis, and upgrade backhaul capacity as needed
- Get the backhaul KPI report, analyze and perform the changes
- Plan for active and protected diversity for backhaul traffic
- Create Microwave deployment and IP routing work orders. Have thorough understanding of IP routing protocols for telecom backhauling.
- Take part in network rollout activities, do the site survey and coordinate with cross-functional teams and prepare the feedback
Qualifications
- A Bachelor degree in Electrical/ Computer Engineering
- Preferred Certification –CCNA
- 1-5 years of experience
- Knowledge of design techniques of Microwave Networks, Pathloss tools
- Knowledge and understanding of backhaul topology and routings for large-scale telecom network
- Knowledge and understanding of MICS design environment, understanding of inter-operator frequency coordination, ISED frequency approval process and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, drawings, and models
-Good understanding of fibre network and fiber- MW hybrid type backhaul network
